A MASS AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE - WORLD HEALTH DAY, 2019

A mass awareness programme was conducted by 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students of Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing at Enchey Senior Secondary School on the occasion of World Health Day, 2019 with the theme "Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere on 8th April, 2019.

The programme consisted of a role play by 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students followed by a health talk on the topic "Prevention and Promotion of Mental Health". Dr. C.S. Sharma, Head of the Department, Psychiatric Unit S.T.N.M. Hospital graced the occasion as the resource person and enlightened the students regarding importance of mental health and coping strategies. About 300 students and the teachers of Enchey Senior Secondary School attended the programme .

Mr. Lopzang Palden Bhutia, Vice Principal on behalf of Enchey Senior Secondary School thanked the students for conducting such innovative programme. He also stressed on the importance of positive mental health.
