It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to take admission at an institution that has become a central point of medical education in the northeastern region of India. Established in 2001, SMIMS was founded with a vision to offer world-class medical education to students not only from Sikkim and Northeastern states but also from across India and beyond. SMIMS is ranked among the top 10 by various national ranking agencies. It is a constituent of Sikkim Manipal University which has been accredited A+ by NAAC. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, and staff, who strive every day to uphold the standards of excellence that we have set for ourselves.

We believe that learning happens not just in the classroom but in every corner of the campus. Our facilities are designed to ensure that our students have access to the latest technology and resources. The laboratories at SMIMS are equipped with cutting-edge tools that allow our students to gain hands-on experience, enhancing their practical understanding of medical science.

Our Teaching hospitals, namely Central Referral Hospital (CRH), a 500-bed Teaching hospital, and 1000 bed State Government STNM hospital, offer students real-time exposure to clinical cases and patient care. Our library, simulation labs, research centers, and digital classrooms provide students with a holistic learning experience. We have built a campus where learning never stops—be it through academic pursuits, clinical practice, or research.

Our faculty comprise experienced and highly qualified professionals who are not only educators but also mentors. Our research facilities are state-of-the-art, and we have ongoing collaborations with leading institutions across India and the world.
