  • Dr. Muralidhar V. Pai, Dean, SMIMS presided as the Chief Guest of the event and initiated the Workshop. Various National Resource persons were invited to deliver their research and evidence on the topic, namely, Dr. Vaishali K, Professor, Manipal College of Health Professionals, MAHE, Manipal, Mr. Anup Bhat, Assistant Professor, Manipal College of Health Professionals, MAHE, Manipal, Ms. Revati Amin, PhD Scholar, Manipal College of Health Professionals, MAHE, Manipal and Dr. Ambika Lama (PT), Lecturer, Sikkim Manipal College of Physiotherapy, Sikkim Manipal University. The Resource persons appraised on the importance of Pulmonary Rehabilitation and emphasized on exercise testing and training and delivered a hands-on workshop on functional testing for the betterment of patients suffering from pulmonary diseases. Around 50 undergraduate and post-graduate students, faculties and health-care workers attended the event.
