Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) has organized a national webinar “Evidence based practice: Care in Midwifery Nursing” on 22nd February 2021 from 3pm to 5pm in Microsoft Teams (MST) Platform. The objective of the webinar was to update the target group on Evidence based practice in Midwifery Nursing and apply the knowledge into practice. The webinar was attended by 189 participants from various institution/organization of different parts of the country.

Overview: Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON) has organized a national webinar “Evidence based practice: Care in Midwifery Nursing” on 22nd February 2021 from 3pm to 5pm in Microsoft Teams (MST) Platform. The objective of the webinar was to update the target group on Evidence based practice in Midwifery Nursing and apply the knowledge into practice. The webinar was attended by 189 participants from various institution/organization of different parts of the country.

 

Programme: The webinar began with a welcome note by Mrs. Binita Khati, Organizing Secretary of the webinar. The first session was delivered by Mrs. Arkierupaia Shadap, Assistant Professor, SMCON on importance and process of evidence based practice in Midwifery Nursing. The second session was delivered by Mrs. Bhagya Devi Das, Sr. Consultant Nursing, NHM State Head Quarter and Nodal Officer, Midwifery Initiative Programme, Assam. She emphasized on application of evidence based practices in midwifery care during the antenatal, intranatal and postnatal period.

 

Feedback: Participants were asked to give their feedback in a structured feedback questionnaire containing 7 questions. Majority of the participants expressed that the webinar was very informative and the knowledge gained will be helpful for clinical practice.
