The M.Tech in Production Engineering at The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology focusses on emerging technologies and techniques in production engineering and helps the students to be technologically and managerially sound to take up leadership roles in the industry.
The Production Engineering Postgraduates will be able to:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or appropiate degree, as applicable, with a minimum of 55% (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC) marks or equivalent CGPA.
(one of the following entrance tests):
(i) GATE Examination
(ii) Screening Test conducted at SMIT by the concerned Department
While preparing the merit, 50% weightage is given to aggregate marks obtained in BE/B Tech and 50% weightage for marks obtained in screening test.
