About the FDP:
A holistic approach to health and wellbeing meant to be supplementing western medicine with nonwestern traditions, aspects of spirituality and psychological functioning. It defines wellness as the interdependence of several dimensions of health. Most of these approaches are used in combination with each other to provide a holistic and integrated approach to health. The key components are mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. All these aspects of holistic health enable a person to truly live each day in the healthiest, happiest way possible. If one area is compromised, most likely other areas will also be affected as well. Looking at optimal health and wellness through a multi-faceted approach is the best way to support and empower the individual’s overall wellbeing. This FDP is an effort to get more insights about the importance of self-management, mindfulness way of living, relationship of physical, mental, and emotional aspects of health for complete wellness and optimal functioning.
