PROGRAM DETAILS

OVERVIEW

MSc Medical Microbiology program at SMIMS SMU is a 3-year program that helps students understand host-parasite relationships and immune mechanisms, microbial flora and its importance in health and disease, etiopathology of common infections and opportunistic pathogens.
It also teaches about tests for rapid lab diagnosis to support clinical diagnosis, choice of antimicrobial agents for treatment, method of sterilisation and biomedical waste disposal practice.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate must have passed 3 years in any branch of Life Sciences i.e, Physiology, Zoology , Botany, Microbiology & Chemistry with minimum marks of 55% for General & 50% for SC, ST & OBC.
