April 22nd, Gangtok: Sikkim Manipal College Of Nursing celebrated Annual Day and Award Ceremony 2022. The ceremony began with the welcome speech by Prof. Ranjita Devi, SMCON along with the dignitaries receiving Khadas and bouquets on the dais, followed by the lighting of a lamp and the saraswati vandana.
The Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. (Lt General) Rajan S. Grewal, AVSM, VSM, SMU and the Officiating Dean Dr. Sanjeeva Dutta, SMIMS addressed the audience, followed by an annual report from the Officiating Principal, Prof. Champa Sharma, SMCON. Prof. Binita Khati, SMCON hosted the award event where the students who secured first, second and third position from all the batches of B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing were acknowledged with trophies and certificates, also the students who secured 4th to 10th position were given certificates. The students who outshined the name of SMCON in state and National level were honoured that day. The cultural programme was also part of the occasion, where the students and faculty performed with great zeal and grace.
Finally, Ms. Arkierupaia Shadap, Associate Professor, SMCON, gave a vote of gratitude to bring the event to a successful conclusion.
