CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prof. Mridula Das is Professor and Principal at SMCON-SMU. Her responsibilities includes:

    • A study of the professional problems encountered by the graduates of College of Nursing, Calcutta
    • Assessment of situation of public health nursing personnel in India for implementing Reproductive and Child Health Programme in collaboration with UNFPA
    • Evaluation of Health & Family Welfare Training Institutions in India
    • Evaluation Study of Functioning of ANM Training Schools in the Country, published by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
    • Designed & collaborated with professional organization "Trained Nurses 'Association of India" in various research studies to strengthen the support system for Nurses and Midwives
    • Attitude and barriers towards participation in Continuing Professional Development among nurses working in government and private hospitals, Sikkim.
    • Effectiveness of P6 acupressure on reduction of nausea, vomiting and retching among antenatal women attending antenatal clinics at District Hospitals of Sikkim
    • Video based demonstration as a compliment or replacement for the conventional method on antenatal examination
