Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)

The course aims to provide the candidate with adequate knowledge and skills to carry out routine laboratory diagnostic procedures and some sophisticated laboratory diagnostic procedures. They would have sufficient theoretical knowledge related to the principles of the laboratory exercises and also to deal with new advances in instrumentation, methodology or standardization, Management of Laboratories, Standard Protocols and use of technology as relates to Laboratory Investigations.

A candidate must have passed 10+2(Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology / Maths) with minimum 50% for general (5% relaxation for ST, SC & OBC)

Admission Procedure

Original documents required to be submitted at the time of Admission:

  1. Class X certificate or Birth Certificate for date of birth
  2. Original marksheet and certificate of qualifying exam
  3. Transfer certificate or School/College leaving certificate
  4. Migration certificate
  5. For North East students Domicile /PRC certificate from appropriate authority
  6. For ST/SC/OBC candidates, SC/ST/OBC certificate from Appropriate Authority.
  7. Four (4) recent, identical passport size Photographs
  8. Character Certificate


Mode of Payment

  • The fee should be remitted by a demand draft in favour of “ Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences” payable at Gangtok or can deposit cash directly in to the college Bank Account.
Schedule of Payment of Fees
Fee can be paid in lump sum amount which is one time every year and to be paid at the beginning of odd semester (1 Aug. to 31 August every year). However the institution offers the students the option of paying the fees in two easy installments per year i.e in the beginning of every semester during odd semester (01Aug. to 31 Aug) and for even semester (15 Jan. to 20 Feb).
Note: Delayed payment of fees will attract a modest fine of 0.5% p.m in the first month, 1% in the second and third month and 2% for 3 months onwards
